The word "allotment" indicates a determined amount of pre-purchased or blocked rooms by an OTA.
Some OTAs, for example, require the property to have at least one always available room for its end customers to book on their site, thereby allowing a kind of "exclusivity".
Under the agreements concluded between OTAs and properties, the rooms in allotment are negotiated for a specific period of time that is a season, part of a season or any other date range.
